It has taken me days to cull this list to feature only five gigs. As difficult as that proved to be, it’s super exciting to see all this talent floating around Newcastle!

Treasuretroves (solo) w/Amos Wellings + Loui Abell
Thursday Night Live- supporting local music. If you’ve been living off grid/under a rock/in the jungle for the last 7 months and haven’t heard Treasuretroves EP, released in January this year, give it a listen before the show. Also, if you’re yet to try it, The Cambridge now have Japanese Street Food by Chuck Rules from 6pm until late.

Emma Davis w/ Grace Turner + As Of Sky
Sydney songwriter Emma Davis has just released her latest single “Getting Better”, a dreamy track from her upcoming record. Emma teamed up with producer and musician Greg J Walker (Paul Kelly, Tiny Ruins, Machine Translations) to bring her demos to life. What to expect: soft, intrinsically woven music from the upcoming album in a warm and cosy setting with great support acts to open the night. Find the event page here!

A new multi-venue festival, celebrating the creative spaces of Wickham, staggered across three venues. Set times will be on display at the venues, but not posted online. Head to the event page for more info.

Bandapalooza III
Bin Juice w/ The Treehouse Children + Cosmic Spice + Stranger Than Friends + Nelipot + Southern End + Arcades and Lions + Sister Rosicky + OILBARON, presented by Steel City Music.

Set times will be announced on the day. The first 100 people through the door get a can of Murray’s Craft Brewing Co East Coast Lager. Live art + art stalls (with a chance of winning the art created on the day to take home). There will also be buskers in the beer garden throughout the day. Orion w/ Marlon Bando + Oily Boys + L.H.I + Bura Bura + John Howard + Frame 313 + Rapid Dye
