WYSPER, by Kian / by Kian West

I happened to walk into Sawtooth Studios one day and heard some of a recording from Wysper and then as these things seem to happen, I spotted them on the lineup for The Stag & Hunter next month so figured I should get more of the story. Chatting with Matt Bekk from the band briefly...

Tell us a little bit about the band?
Matt: I met drummer Shane Stephens 2009 and together formed the band in 2011 have been through some highs and lows, after the death of their original singer Dale Thrift who passed away on Boxing day 2015, The band could not tour on their album in 2014 titled FREE TO FREEDOM but managed to do two video clips 'A nightmare Of Mind and Come Right Back'.
Dale's last words to me was "find another singer and never give up on WYSPER".
Middle of 2016 New front man David Carrall has stepped up and is ready to take it to another level as well as Bassist David Abbott are ready to hit the studio 5th of Feb 2017 and will do a double EP titled 'FREEDOM AIN'T FREE' Chapter One & Chapter Two.
