Taking the name from their great grandfather and his brother, you’ll find Tim and Duncan’s little café down the quieter end of Darby Street, with a crisp white and wooden aesthetic and some healthy dine-in or takeaway options. With Tim using his talents as a Food Scientist and artist and Duncan bringing his wealth of hospitality and culinary experience to the table, the two have created a winning combination. A favourite with locals, the café uses coffee beans from the team over at Silverskin Coffee Roasters and has their cold brew on tap or in bottles ready for you to take home. Use it in an espresso martini on a Friday night or pour it over some ice cream for a mid-week treat. If it’s food you’re after, you can’t go past their avocado on sourdough with a hint of either honey or paprika, or their chia pudding with a selection of seasonal fruit. With a love for everything local, the Hugh bros are hoping to further their space in the future to create a hub where local produce can be sold and championed and a co-working space can be formed where local start-ups can foster their creative energies to give them the kick start they need.
