Out and About in December

Love Actually Silent Theatre

The Greenroof, Tudor Street Hamilton

December 22nd

I don’t care who you are – if you aren’t in the business of watching Love Actually at some point during December, you’re a crumb. The Greenroof have chosen consistently excellent films for their Silent Cinemas and December is no different. A superb date idea, because ‘to me, you are perfect’. Tickets sell out QUICKLY. But if you miss out, there’s another three films showing in the month of December.

Momo Newcastle

Hunter Street, Hamilton

The secret is out about this place – but there’s a reason I’m there every Saturday morning. Consistency. It’s always (like, always) exceptional. Staff are friendly, coffee is strong and they tolerate my requests to make the vegan board not-so-vegan.

Back to the Future

Presented by Abicus and Thrills

Darby Street

Runs until 11th December

Our go-to fashion stop on Darby Street, Abicus, has teamed up with Byron Bay company Thrills to curate a wearable art exhibition. Sixteen artists (including eight locals) have created a one-of-a-kind Thrills denim jacket to be sold in a silent auction. 100% of proceeds will be donated to the National Youth Mental Health Foundation Headspeace. And here I thought I couldn’t love Abicus any more than I already do. To make a bid, visit the Abicus website.
