Take a journey through the botanical and marine wildlife of Australia with Nicole Berlach’s beautiful watercolour and illustrative works. Her range of art prints, illustrations and journals combine art and science, inspired by her bushwalks and adventures in nature. Growing up surrounded by artists, painters and all things nature, Nicole decided to hone her natural history illustration skills when she turned 21, and has since gone on to be awarded first place in the Australian Entomological Illustration Competition and second place in the Margaret Senior Award. Her extensive portfolio also includes a range of children’s picture book illustrations, album covers, field guides, scientific illustration plates and more. Using traditional techniques and mediums, combined with her contemporary vision, Nicole has exhibited in various solo and group exhibitions, and you can often catch her at the local Olive Tree Markets. Capturing the hearts of art fans, animal lovers and science fanatics alike, her illustrations will give you a new found appreciation for the beauty around us, and might even have you wanting to break out a sketchpad. She can even create you a beautiful privately commissioned piece if that’s something you’re after. See some of Nicole’s stunning work for yourself on her Instagram @nicoleberlach
