If you love your furry friend so much you wish you could hang a portrait of them in your home, Beau Wylie is your man. The Newcastle based artist can take a picture of your beloved pooch and turn it into a truly unique digital print for your viewing pleasure. Starting out in 2012 after realising a career in architecture wasn’t for him, though he certainly has a draw to animals, there is much more to Beau than just his humorous hound paintings. With an addiction to illustration and making people smile, his Etsy store and market stalls (you can often catch him set up at the Olive Tree Markets) also boast a beautiful and colourful range of greeting cards, badges, bottle openers and other original artworks and prints, each more likely to put a smile on your face than the next. Making the move from Sydney and choosing to settle in Newcastle, Beau has the ability to create captivating pieces for children’s bedrooms, while also piecing together finer detailed artworks for more serious collections, showing that his artistic talents certainly stretch far and wide. Check out some of Beau’s creative work over on his Instagram @beauwylie.
