If you love leather goods just as much as you love youe vintage fashion, you need to stop by Hide + Seeker on Beaumont Street. The HIDE part of the shop is Geordie’s handcrafted leatherwork, who’s workshop sits just out the back behind the store. Keeping his products as local and sustainable as possible, Geordie sources his leather from one of Australia’s last remaining wattle bark tanneries, while his canvas comes from a canvas mill just 30 minutes away. The SEEK part is Eartha’s vintage clothing collection. Having been an op shop regular since she was a child, Eartha’s collection is made up of pieces she’s found during her travels around the country and overseas. Disenchanted by the disposable, fast fashion of today, Eartha focuses on finding items made of quality fabrics and fibres, that won’t fall apart in just one wash. With a range of styles and sizes in store for both men and women, there is sure to be something that will take your fancy. See what they’ve got in store first over on their Instagram @hide_and_seeker. If you can’t find the time to pop in store, they also have a small collection of their leather and vintage goods on their website hideandseeker.com.au.
