Ah yes, I am back with yet another guide to guide you through the best way to spend the contents of your pocket. The contents of my pockets is currently:
1 x bottle cap
75 cents in change
1 x pen
1 x Parking fine
Anyway. Here’s my next instalment for the cheapskates guide to Newy. Five Hot Spots to have you jingling all the way from the change at the back of your couch to civilisation.
I walked past this fine establishment the other afternoon, and realised that I may have fond the cheapest happy hour in town. These guys do $4.50 house beers every day between 3:00pm and 6:00pm. Now that is a hoot and a half.
This is a classy place, I care for classy places, especially classy places that cater to my ever dwindling budget. On Mondays you can create your own meal with a delicious selection of $2 Meatballs. The bar staff are super friendly so they don’t even judge you when you spill your change on the counter – been there done that!
I’m more than just burgers and beers I swear it, I’m all about the music as well. Every Thursday, The Cambridge host Thursday Night live, with a whole bunch of local talent circulating through the doors to please your ears. It’s also free entry between 9 and 10, not that you needed an excuse to get there early to catch all the awesome tunes. Oh and I will mention, it’s also $5 beers and $6 spirits. Win win win.
There are so many solid meals here for under $15 that I honestly can’t list them all. They also have a phenomenal happy hour from 3-5 with $5 beers from Monday to Friday. Kid, you’re set.
If you’re willing to step it up just a touch, or it happens to be date night, look no further than the Blind Monk on Thursdays. $18 gets you a beer/wine and a delicious pizza. Sounds like date material to me!
