Top 3 Gigs for Weekend Workers, by Jess Moog / by Jessica Moog

A weekly live music guide for Novacastrians who suffer from the weekend work grind.

Gizzfest Newcastle

WHEN: Wednesday 22nd November

WHERE: Bar On The Hill at UON

SOUNDS LIKE: An event that is best experienced while wearing those funky kaleidoscope glasses with your nips hanging out, dancing around with some huge fern branches or a colourful scarf or something fun like that in one hand, and maybe a vegan chicken wing in the other (do those even exist?? God I hope not).

Event deets here.

Miss May I

WHEN: Wednesday 22nd November

WHERE: The Cambridge Hotel

SOUNDS LIKE: An absolutely killa thrash metal band with Metallica undertones and riffs that genuinely have the potential to melt your face off; pls pack burn cream and a sturdy neck brace.

Event deets here.

Thirsty Merc

WHEN: Thursday 23rd November

WHERE: The Cambridge Hotel

SOUNDS LIKE: Look, if you can give me at least 20 good reasons not to go, then I guess I’ll just have to wait till next year, but I don’t care, because all I know is that I’ll bloody meet you there in the summertime. Mate, in the summer time. That IS where I’ll be.
