Hey Girls, thanks for your time today. For those that don’t know what The Vital Method is, can you tell us what you are all about?

E: TVM is a Made-to-order-Meal Service in Merewether. We operate our premises as a “pop up café” and healthy smoothie & coffee bar. We like to say our weekday lunch and dinner service is just like having your own personal chef. We cater to a number every day, which means we can source the freshest quality produce and eliminate food wastage.

H: We are a huge believer of the benefits of eating whole foods and promote a balanced life free from calorie counting and over-indulging. We promote health through encouraging people to quit the diet and love real food again.

So you have the shop, but where else can people catch you?

E: The Vital Method often pops up at various community events, but we make a regular appearance at the Hunt & Gather Markets, Pacific ST Newcastle East every third Saturday of the month. Come and see us there for our famous gluten free baked goods and gorgeous granola cups! Next month at H&G we will have amazing smoothies as an addition to our regular produce.

H: You can check us out online and also order our meals via our website: www.thevitalmethod.com.au

When did you start? Has this been an idea a long time in the making?

E: TVM has definitely been a long time in the making, it was a vision that just came together at exactly the right time. I believed Newcastle needed more of an alternative to just your regular take-out dinner options, some nights you just don’t feel like cooking but you still want to eat a good quality meal without the restaurant price tag.

H: We launched TVM Headquarters back in May 2014, so we are still very new and finding what works best and what needs to be improved. The right things just fall into place and that’s what happened for us with this new business venture.

How has the reaction been from the community?

E: We were overwhelmed with support when we first opened which was awesome. Every day word is spreading about our service and café, and we are a huge believer in word-of-mouth being the best form of marketing.

H: Newcastle definitely has an interest in health and wellbeing, the food certainly speaks for itself…so if you haven’t tried it yet you won’t be disappointed!

Tell us a little bit about yourselves… Like, what were you doing before The Vital Method?

E: I’ve been in the health and fitness industry for the past 11 years and own Impact Health Studio in Merewether with my husband Jason. We have 3 little ones so it’s safe to say my life is very busy at the moment! I am very fortunate to be able to do what I love every day, it’s been such a journey turning my passions into a profession.

H: I returned from an overseas dance career at the start of this year, and have been a professional dancer with Royal Caribbean Company for the past 8 years. I also work as a Personal Trainer at Impact Health Studio, and know the value of healthy living, which is why I really wanted to be involved in the creation of The Vital Method.

Is there anything else our readers should know about The Vital Method?

E: Check us out online, like us on facebook & follow us on instagram & twitter!

H: The Vital Method really is a food movement, we want to encourage people to not only care about their health, but to learn & respect where food actually comes from. Ethical farming practices & sustainable living are big motivators behind our brand and we are really proud of our product and service, there’s a great deal of love gone into The Vital Method.
